TIM MCCANDLESS, FINANCIAL ADVISOR
My passion is people and their stories. Each of us is unique and interesting. Helping people and advising them in life’s financial decisions is personally fulfilling.
Prior to establishing my career as a financial advisor, I served in the United States Navy. I joined California Wealth Transitions after working at Merrill Lynch.
I hold a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation, or CRPC®, from the College for Financial Planning. This designation recognizes my focus on helping clients prepare for retirement.
In particular, I assist families and individuals plan for, and live well in, retirement by helping them with the following:
- Budgeting and saving for retirement and other financial goals
- Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), ROTH IRAs, 401K plan investment, rollovers, and other strategies
- Generating Retirement Projections to assess net worth and cash flows during and through retirement
Serving the local community is an essential part of who I am. I am a member of San Diego Nice Guys, a nonprofit helping local families and individuals who have fallen on tough times. Since they first began in 1979, Nice Guys donations have been in excess of $14.7 million for families and individuals in San Diego County. There is no overhead, offices, or paid staff.
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, cycling, Yoga, and traveling. My wife, Wanda, and I have three grown children and two Yorkshire Terriers named Zola and Zeus.
